5 worth keeping.
The Claude Code mods that survived a real afternoon of testing,
with the exact commands to install each one.
Check it
in one minute.
A mod runs with your permissions: your files, your terminal, your settings. Download it first, then run claude plugin validate on the folder. It lists every event the mod listens to and everything it’s allowed to call.
git clone https://github.com/<author>/<mod> claude plugin validate ./<mod>
Installed,
tested, still on.
Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, in the terminal or the Code tab of the Claude desktop app.
blast-radius · Anthropic sample
Holds rm -rf, git reset --hard and force pushes, and shows exactly what they would delete before anything runs. Proceed or Cancel.
git clone https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code-playground claude plugin marketplace add ./claude-code-playground/claude-code/mods claude plugin install blast-radius@claude-code-playground-mods
token-weather · Anthropic sample
One line above the prompt: how full your context is, as a weather report, with the last turns as a tiny chart.
# same marketplace as blast-radius claude plugin install token-weather@claude-code-playground-mods
aside · JayDoubleu/aside
A side chat about your session in its own pane. The main conversation never sees the question or the answer.
claude plugin marketplace add JayDoubleu/aside claude plugin install aside@aside
agent-flow · Charlie0113-T/claude-agent-flow
A live tree of every subagent Claude starts: what each is doing, how long it has run, and when it finishes. Open it with /flow.
claude plugin marketplace add Charlie0113-T/claude-agent-flow claude plugin install agent-flow@claude-agent-flow
Mindful-Claude · halluton/Mindful-Claude
A breathing guide above the prompt while Claude works. The most-starred mod-only project I found.
claude plugin marketplace add halluton/Mindful-Claude claude plugin install mindful-claude@mindful-claude
So I built them.
Credits left on ElevenLabs and Higgsfield, your YouTube views, a Notion routine dashboard, a guard that keeps private words out of what you publish, and a record mode that masks emails and numbers on screen. Each one asks for your own settings; nothing personal is baked in.
claude plugin marketplace add seanyyoo/claude-code-mods claude plugin install credit-meter@buildalone-mods claude plugin install youtube-pulse@buildalone-mods claude plugin install routine-watch@buildalone-mods claude plugin install publish-guard@buildalone-mods claude plugin install record-mode@buildalone-mods
Not bad mods.
Just not mine.
And the most-starred token tool, Token Optimizer (2,500+ stars), does a lot more than show a meter on first run: it auto-approves some terminal commands, edits your Claude settings and installs a background dashboard. Nothing gets sent anywhere. I installed only its status bar, from desktop/token-optimizer-desktop in its repo.
quota-meter, context-lens, token-ledger
Same numbers as the status bar I kept.
buffer-pane, claude-review
Great in the terminal. The Claude desktop app already does both.
prismantis
Restyles replies, and adds instructions to every message you send.
secret-redactor
Rewrites your prompts. Too new for me to trust with that.
md-prompt, replay-theater
Nice, but not for my work.
cc-arcade
Real Tetris above the prompt. I’d play instead of reading what Claude did.
A note on the test
One afternoon, one person’s workflow, early October 2026. Mods are new and change fast; star counts and behavior may be different by the time you read this. Always validate before you install.
